Screech Owl Swoop
The Screech Owl Swoop offers a gorgeous view, complete privacy, and . . . options. Two completely separate levels give you the option of a snug perch, or a family-sized roost. For couples, a private upper story space with views out across the Georgia Straits, Patos and Sucia Islands. Larger families may also choose to rent the lower level of Screech Owl Swoop, with space for family and friends to stretch out.
On the top floor a beautiful great room with stone fireplace, TV/DVD/CD, huge picture windows, and sumptious leather furniture, invites you to lounge and lollygag. On the other side of the fireplace, the stone chimney holds another mounted TV/DVD, so you can view the cooking channel while cooking up your own creations in the amazingly large, well-appointed kitchen. Ceramic top range, huge side-by-side freezer/frig, breakfast bar dining, and marble topped counters that go on forever make a gourmet creation palate. If you are someone who doesn’t want to get away from cooking, but wants to get away to cook---this is your kitchen! (Of course a dozen restaurants are just one mile away, if you want a break!)
The living room features a queen-sized sleeper sofa—but the bedroom offers a “bed-to-die-for!” We have to provide a bed-step, so you can climb into this beautiful, canopied, antique, queen-sized bed that scrapes the ceiling. French doors from the bedroom, and a sliding glass door in the living room, take you out to the wrap-around deck with hot tub, which tuck you up into the midst of an old-growth cedar.
